NEEDS: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR COFFEE HOUR, ALTAR FLOWERS, COMMUNION SERVING, LAY READING [SIGN UP IN SOCIAL HALL OR SEE PASTOR KATHIE OR ELDER BETTY BECKLEY]

            


MISSION PROJECTSr:

--

--During October the church generously contributed items for HIV-AIDS.

--During November: we are collecting items for the PREGNANCY CENTER such as baby items-Size New born to 18 months.

-During December: we will concentrate on receiving items for NEEDY FAMILIES AND YOUTH

 


EACH MONTHEACH MONTH:  Items for the Ecumenical Food Pantry on the first week of each month

                         and non-perishable items for Meeting Ground on the 2nd & 3rd weeks of the month.

                         The Food Pantry is in need of the following items: Jellies; Breakfast food (all); Pasta Sauces; Boxed meals; Assorted canned meats; Plastic bags for distribution

OCTOBER: ITEMS FOR HIV-AIDS PATIENTS [TOILET ARTICLES, ETC.]

NOVEMBER: ITEMS FOR PREGNANCY CENTER [BABY ITEMS SIZE NEW BORN TO 18 MONTHS

DECEMBER; ITEMS FOR NEEDY FAMILIES AND YOUTH

 

ONGOING: YOUTH PROJECT [more info later]

     & PROJECT FOR  orphans and vulnerable children in Africa. MAKE a gift of $50 for puchase of 2 yards of a "wrap" [fabric] from the Congo.

Rev. Kabasele & Rev. Pownall at luncheon meeting at Elkton Presbyterian Church, August 18

Rev. Kabasele is pastor of Lungandu Parish which is the sister conegation of the Lewes Presbygterian Church, NCP.  New Castle Presbygery has six participating congregations involved in sister church relations through the formal partnership we have with the Kananga Presbytery. Together we pursue work in ghte areas o education, agricultural development, micro-loan and evangelism.  Currently 6 additional churches are seeking to form partnerships with church in New Castle Presbytery.
